Duchess of Cambridge...Not the "Style Icon" we were hoping for

Since becoming Duchess of Cambridge on the 29th April 2011, the whole world has watched to see what Kate will step out in next. She set the standards high as she emerged from her car to enter Westminster Abbey on that day, in a Sarah Burton design for Alexander Mcqueen and it really was the high fashion moment we were hoping for and were expecting many more along the way...wishful thinking on our behalf.
Her look is very conservative and only so many months on are people starting to question her "style icon" title. Vivienne Westwood recently said, "It seems to me, that her image is 'ordinary woman'. Therefore, High Street shopper. And I just think that she should be an extraordinary woman, wherever she gets her clothes from."

So it maybe that we were expecting a lot more from our future queen and if she continues dressing in her high street favourites Reiss and LK Bennett and safe choices from Erdem and Alexander Mcqueen (otherwise known for standout fashion moment designs) then she will soon fall off our radar...unless she hires a stylist!
